Terms and Conditions

These terms are here to ensure a smooth, transparent, and productive working relationship. By commissioning me to design your product, brand, or website, you agree to the following:

i. Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required at the start of the project, with the remaining 50% balance due upon project completion and before delivery of the final files. Payment must be made within 7 days of the invoice date. Invoices not paid within the stated period will incur statutory interest at the current bank interest rate until payment is received in full.

ii. Refunds

No refunds are available once work has commenced. In over 12 years of design work, I have never had a refund request — and I aim to keep it that way through clear communication and delivering great results.

iii. Deliverables & File Formats
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, final deliverables will be provided as Figma files. Native working files from other tools are not included unless specifically purchased.

iv. Project Scope & Changes
A detailed scope of work will be agreed upon and quoted before the project begins. Any changes to the agreed scope during the project will require a revised quote, an adjusted timeline, and additional costs where applicable.

v. Quote Validity
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After 30 days, a new quote will be provided to reflect current rates and availability.

vi. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to meet agreed deadlines for reviews, feedback, and providing required assets. Delays caused by the client will extend the project timeline, and I am not obliged to meet the original deadline if the client misses theirs. All projects include two rounds of amends, which is almost always more than enough when communication is clear. Presentations will be delivered via Loom video, allowing you to review at your own pace and eliminating unnecessary meetings. All feedback must be left as Figma comments, in context, not in separate documents such as Word or PDF. If live meetings are requested, or feedback is provided in formats outside Figma, this will affect the project cost. My meeting rate is £35 per hour.

vii. Portfolio Rights
I reserve the right to showcase work created for you in my portfolio, website, and promotional materials — otherwise, I’d have nothing to show future clients. All work presented is either my own original creation or owned by previous clients with their consent to share. You are not permitted to share my previous clients’ work without their written permission or mine.

viii. Limitation of Liability & Implementation
I am not responsible for how you implement the designs provided. All designs are created based on thousands of hours of research, industry standards, and best practices. It is the client’s responsibility to A/B test and throttle rollout to avoid negative financial impacts. Advice on implementing designs or running A/B and multivariate tests can be provided but will be quoted separately.

ix. Termination
If the client cancels the project after it has begun, the initial deposit is non-refundable. Payment will be due for all work completed up to the cancellation date.

x. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes will be resolved in its courts.
